03.ACHIEVEMENTS

2nd Place (out of 100+) - Spaceport America Cup

YEAR: 2023

Competed in the Spaceport America Cup 10,000ft COTS class as part of the UMD Terrapin Rocket Team. In this competition, student teams design, build, and launch rockets to reach a target altitude of 10,000 feet. Our rocket utilized the airbrake module which I wrote the control algorithm for.

Member of the inaugural Patti Grace-Smith Fellowship class

YEAR: 2021

I was honored to be part of the inaugural Patti Grace Smith Fellowship class, which opened doors into the aerospace industry. The fellowship provided mentorship, an internship at Blue Origin, and a supportive community, helping me gain skills, confidence, and a network of inspiring professionals.

Pilots License

YEAR: 2018

I earned my private pilot license while in high school in 2018. This experience taught me the importance of teamwork, attention to detail, and the practical application of theoretical knowledge.

1st Place - AIAA Conference Presentation

YEAR: 2023

Gave a presentation at an AIAA conference to showcase my work with the airbrake module for the Spaceport America Cup, the challenges we faced, and the solutions we implemented in order to overcome them.
